Accessible sheet music | Classic Christian books | Great Literature

About FlotsamPress

My name is Daniel Rinaudo. I live in Melbourne and work in ministry with university students. FlotsamPress is a side project, but it’s driven by a love of books and a desire to make important works accessible and affordable.

The catalogue spans theological texts, literary classics, and sheet music for strings. Many of these works are in the public domain but hard to find — out of print, or only available in expensive modern editions. I aim to keep prices fair, so the books are within reach of the people most likely to value them.

The catalogue includes new English translations (like The Aeneid and Bonhoeffer’s Life Together), carefully edited editions of theological classics by Kuyper, Melanchthon, and others, and sheet music collections for cello and viola. Every book is formatted with care — clean layouts, helpful footnotes, and a presentation that does justice to the original.

Why “FlotsamPress”?

The name has a few layers to it. Partly it’s a nod to a love of Tolkien and a taste for slightly eccentric names. Partly it’s an acknowledgement that what I publish is genuinely eclectic — sheet music and theology don’t often share a catalogue. But mostly it comes from where this all started.

You may know the expression flotsam and jetsam. Jetsam is the cargo you deliberately throw overboard when your ship is sinking. Flotsam is everything that spills out onto the sea when you actually wreck. I began publishing during a very difficult period of my life — it was a creative outlet, something to hold onto. FlotsamPress is what washed up.

How It Works

All books are available in print and Kindle on Amazon, and select titles are available as PDF or EPUB direct from me via Payhip.

I use print-on-demand, which means no warehouses, no minimum orders, and no inflated prices to cover distribution overhead. You get a quality book; I keep things lean.
